Doing well

I have been having trouble thinking of something to write this week since I feel pretty good. I don't have any stories of any new problems or any words of wisdom from things I've learned about adversity. Then it dawned on me that was worth reporting. I feel good. I had the regular 2-3 lousy days post chemo, but after that I have been feeling well. In fact I mostly feel like "the old me." It is so nice to feel good. I have a new appreciation for that feeling which before cancer I probably took for granted far too much. I have been busy with school; I have two mid-term exams this week and an oral report was due. I am trying not to over-do this week, but just do what needs to be done and conserve the energy I need for healing etc, but I am surely thankful for the strength and good health I am feeling. Thank you all for praying for me, it is working. I think I am about half way through chemo at this point and to feel this good is amazing. I continue to "give thanks in all things."

I hope you all are doing well also. Let me know how you are and who you are on the comments part of this site. It is fun to read who is reading me and what you are thinking.

Karen

    Karen,

I am praying for you this week - especially that God would give you the strength and stamina that you need as you take those "wonderful" mid-terms!
I miss giving those talented Aldrich children piano lessons. Keep practicing Matt and Abby!!! Karen, you are truly a blessing.

    Love,

    Hi Karen,
I've been reading your entries and praying for you every week! IT is so good to hear that you have felt well this week! Praise God! You are such a sweet spirit and I praise God for working through you during this time of adversity. You are a living testament to God's glorious love! I will be praying for you this week as you continue with your school work and with "living" each day to it's fullest! Thank you for your wonderful testimony! I have truly enjoyed your thoughts and journalings on this experience in your life. Thank you for the courage!

Love from a sister in Christ at Raleigh Road!

    Karen,

I'm glad you have been feeling better of late. Our entire church continues to pray for you; Sam and Becca pray for you nightly as well.

Melissa asked me to send her your blog site today so she could be kept up to date as well (she's in Spain for the year teaching at the American School of Madrid). We actually went to visit her three weeks ago ... she is doing well and just located a christian english-speaking church in Madrid (AOG). She plans to attend this weekend. Sam is in public school and loving it; Jean continues to homeschool Becca, but we are contemplating sending her to public school next year. Bonnie is due with another child (girl) toward the end of January.

We have been busy trying to ready our house for sale as we are looking to move to a different house in Guilderland. We will be hosting the Christmas Family gathering again this year during the New Year's Eve weekend (12/31-1/2) if you and your family are up to it. Will call you on that in the future.

Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know that you are on our minds and hearts daily, and in our daily conversations with God.

    We love you,
    Chris and Jean Aldrich
